Firefox addon stops responding

My Firefox 1P addon stops responding periodically - like every other day. I'm using FF 28.0 and 1P 4.2.2 (422001) with OS 10.9.2 on a mid-2012 Macbook Pro. When the 1P addon stops responding, I get the web error message that I need to install the 1P addon. However, it still exists in the Addon list. After I re-install the addon (via 1P app), it works fine for another couple of days. This has been happening fairly frequently since I upgraded to Mavericks about 2 weeks ago. (It used to happen much less frequently.) Any suggestions?

    Sorry to hear about the trouble with Firefox. Could you please try creating a new Firefox profile and see if the problem exists there?

    Firefox Profiles

    Please do not delete your existing profile as that will contain all of your bookmarks, etc.

    Please let me know how it turns out.

    Thanks. I'll try it. I'm jammed right now with work, so it may take a few days to get to it. It's not a huge issue for me.
