How do I set 1Password so after I restart my computer the "FOLDERS" section in the sidebar is expanded? It is always closed after I restart the computer.

  • Hi there,

I'm not able to reproduce this issue. If I select the "show" button next to Folders in the sidebar, the folders remain visible until I select the "hide" button. Do other 1Password preferences not "stick"? For example, if you change the order your data is sorted in, when you restart, is it still sorted the way you selected?

    Please let me know.

    Thanks!

    Ben

    Hi Mr. K.,

I've noticed previously expanded sidebar sections (except CATEGORIES) are sometimes collapsed, for no apparent reason so far. Are you using multiple vaults? Switching vaults is when unexpectedly collapsed sections usually catch my attention. In fact, I was able to reproduce it a moment ago with one of my vaults when switching out of and back into it. Then after expanding all sections in that vault and restarting 1Password (and possibly mini) they're remaining expanded.

I've currently expanded all sections in all vaults and will keep a closer watch for one auto-collapsing again, hopefully being able to correlate it with previous actions.

I have multiple vaults. I'll keep an eye on this and see if I can pin down what cause the mis-behavior!

    Thanks, Mr. K.

All sections for all my vaults are still expanded today in 1Password on one of my systems. On another system, they weren't staying expanded when vault switching until restarting 1Password after expanding them for any vault they were collapsing in. Now I'll be watching both systems for this problem to happen again.
