Replacing expired password

I couldn't find this anywhere else, so
One of my logins says "Password Expired" and asks me to submit a new password.
I expected to go into the file for that login and replace the password. Couldn't see how to do it.
I also looked for a way to generate a new password, independent of the login file, but didn't see that either.

Am I left to create a new login file to generate a new password?

Thanks

    Hi @gadelsperger‌,

Here's the best way to change your password for a given website:

    1. Go to the "change password" page of the website (this location depends on the way the website is set up, but it's often under the account settings section).
    2. When you are presented with the fields to change your password, you can click the 1Password extension, and choose the password generator to create a custom random strong password.
    3. Click the Fill button.
    4. After filling it on the webpage, 1Password should then prompt you to update your saved login for this site.

Please note that if 1Password doesn't immediately prompt you to update your Login, this new password has by default been copied onto your clipboard when you hit the 'Fill' button. Simply open the entry in 1Password and paste the new password over the existing one!
