Sync Problem from 1Password 4 for Mac to iOS [resolved]
I just upgraded my 1 Password 3 to IPW4 on my Mac. I also have IOS 1PW4 on my iPad. I have just used Password generator to improve the strength on a test site. I have synchronized both devices through Dropbox. The new password does not show on my iPad, but interestingly, I still get in with the old password from the iPad.
What's happening here? According to the iPad, it says it's synchronized. Why is the new PW not showing?
Thanks for any input.

Hi @mhgraff,
Let's do a test here to see if items synced from your iPad show up on your Mac. Create a 'test iPad' entry on your iPad and sync both devices.
If the test entry does not show up on your Mac, it sounds like you might have multiple keychains stored in Dropbox. Open a Finder window and take a peek. How many 1Password.agilekeychain files are currently there? The default location for your 1Password data is Dropbox/1Password/1Password.agilekeychain, but you might find your keychain at the root of Dropbox as well.
Please let me know the results of these tests and we'll go from there. :)

Thanks for your feedback. Here are tests that I have done.
1. Created IOS Test on iPad. It did not sync to Mac.
2. Searched Dropbox. Could only find one file named 1Password.agilekeychain.
3. Uninstalled 1Password from iPad, and downloaded a new instantiation. It was able to get old data OK since it restored data from someplace, but the Amazon Password change is not synchronized from Mac. What is stunning is that I can open Amazon with the wrong password. How can this be?Any advice you can offer is appreciated. I really depend on 1Password.
Thank you.
Mike.

Hi @mhgraff,
I'd like to take a bit of a closer look at your system here to find out just what's going on. Could you please send us a Diagnostics Report?
http://learn.agilebits.com/1Password4/diagnostic-report.html
Then attach the entire file to an email to us: support+forum@ agilebits .com
Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.
Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!

I don't know what happened. I sent diagnostic reports on both the Mac and iPad versions. The synchronization is now working. Thank you for your help. Let me know if you or your colleague did anything or if it mysteriously self healed. Mike
