Why 40 unused passwords in Passwords section of 1Password 4?

Why do I have about 40 passwords that were created by the Password Generator in 1Password 4 on my iMac (Firefox). I have never used any such passwords and just noticed them recently. How were they created and what is their purpose? Are they there in case I want to use a Password Generator generated password?

Are they in your Passwords category? If so, they're passwords which you generated but which weren't saved to some specific login in your Logins category. You can get rid on them by right clicking on the Passwords category and then choose something like "Remove redundant passwords". (I'm not sure of the exact wording as I don't have any to remove at present.)

I hope that is some help to you.

Stephen - Thank you. Yes, they were in the Passwords category. I don't remember every creating them but I probably did so when I didn't know what I was doing, a common condition!
