Dropbox alternative for Mac - Android sync
I hate to bring politics here, but Dropbox has added Dr. Condolezza Rice to their board of directors. I believe she is a war criminal who supported an administration of torture and I have quit Dropbox.
I'd like to keep using 1Pass but through another file sync service, like Google drive or some other. I've got my whole family using 1Pass. Have sincere discussions begun at AgileBits to rapidly add support for another service? This is urgent to me (and hopefully others).
I hope that this thread doesn't turn into a debate about Dr. Rice; I'd just like to know if AgileBits has a plan to not be tied to customer use of Dropbox.

Hi! On the same boat here: have been using 1Password+Dropbox as a winning combination, but can't continue to support Dropbox with a clean conscience (although I respect other user's right to keep using it, so let's keep the motivation itself out of the way and focus on the problem, that is: how to use something other than Dropbox).
As far as I know, the only other supported method that I know is iCloud, but:
- It won't allow using 1Password Anywhere (which I seldom use, since my sync is between two Macs and two iDevices, but I may need to use a Linux desktop at any moment, so I'd like to keep that option open)
- You must trust Apple's ability to keep your backups correctly - with Dropbox, you could always get the .agilechain directory bundle and copy it (or at least check it's there), but I don't know how iCloud works that way (never was much interested in Apple-only backup systems)
I can live with the first issue for now, but I'm concerned about the second. Which are the odds of losing my data?

Btw, this thread discusses the subject a bit: http://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/16487/switching-to-icloud-from-dropbox

Hi @mike01824,
Please see this recent discussion about Dropbox alternatives:
Alternatives to Dropbox sync
And Carlos, Dropbox and iCloud are used for syncing, not backup. 1Password does not create backups of your data in Dropbox or iCloud, only on your local disk.
