Dropbox sync... without dropbox app?

I use Dropbox for sync.
However, on my work computer, I do not want to install the Dropbox application (and sync all of my personal files onto my work computer).
Is there a way to link to my dropbox account without the app locally installed?
Or some other way out?

This would apply for both Mac & Windows.

    The Dropbox app is required to be installed for Dropbox sync on Mac and Windows. Sorry I don't have a better answer!
