2 macs iCloud Not Syncing

I have installed 1Password 4 v4.2.2 on my Mac at home and at work. Both are on OS 10.9.2. Both are set to sync with the same iCloud account in System Prefs and in 1Password. I have locked and unlocked both to encourage them to sync. Both report that they have synced. Each has a different set of data - one old-ish, and one painstakingly new thanks to Heartbleed.

How can this be? Or, more importantly, how do I fix it?

While awaiting some sage advice, I came across the following on the agile bits website:

Known Issues in 1Password 4 for Mac
    Syncing
    • [iCloud] If you have a network home folder, the iCloud sync might not support it. We suggest using Dropbox for now.

I don't know what is meant by"network home folder" so I do not know if this applies to my situation.

Any suggestions or wild guesses are welcome.

Check for a section called "Conflicts" in any of your 1Password items that you've recently changed. It seems that 1Password may not intelligently sync between databases, and can result in old passwords being put back, with new ones moved to a "Conflicts" section.

Bingo! You are correct. What do I do to correct this?

    Hi @MisterH‌

I would like to apologize for the delay in responding to you here but we experienced a surge in support requests recently. We're doing the best we can to get back to our usual speedy replies as soon as possible.

If one of your computers has the a properly updated database, we'll want to reset sync here to get everything on the same page:

    • On your iOS devices, open 1Password 4 for iOS, tap Settings > Sync, and toggle iCloud to OFF.

    • On the Macs, open 1Password 4 for Mac, and click the 1Password menu, then Preferences. Click Sync, and click Change syncing.

    • Check the box to remove the data from iCloud and confirm that you want to disable sync.

    • Restart the Macs and iOS devices.

    • On the Mac with the up-to-date data, go back to the Sync preferences, and enable iCloud.

    • Wait about 20 minutes to give iCloud time to run the initial sync to all devices.

    • On the other Mac, go to Sync preferences and enable iCloud.

    • Go back into the iOS app and re-enable iCloud sync. It should work this time.
