Is there a default BACK-UP SCHEDULE?

I know how to manually create a backup from the preferences panel. But once or twice I think I've seen that 1PW has automatically made a backup. Is there a time schedule or a specific set of conditions that prompts one PW to make a backup? Is there a way for me to set a BU schedule?
[running 4.1.2 on Mac and 4.3.2 on iOS devices]

There a very useful thread explaining how automatic backups work here (starting at post #32). No, you can't set your own backup schedule within 1P4 (although of course you can make your own backup arrangements of the relevant folder outside 1P4).
