Multiple vaults without cross-access

How do I go about creating multiple vaults without interconnectivity?

Currently when I create a secondary vault and login to that, I will be able to switch to my primary vault without having to enter my primary vault's master password.

I want to create a vault for each of my family members without them being able to access my vault or me access theirs.

Thanks.

I don't believe you can do that. For example, if you share a vault with family member A you'll be able to see that vault, as will family member A. However, family member A will not be able to see your primary vault or other vaults you share with other family members. What you can't do (I believe) is to create a vault which you can't see (i.e., access)! But why would you want to do that?

    Hi @darylwang‌

As @Stephen_C says, sharing a vault will mean that both you and the person that you share it with will have access to it.

If you want each member of your family to have their own vault that is inaccessible by others, each family member will simply have to set up 1Password as the primary user. This will require either different accounts on a shared family computer, or simply setting up as a new user if each family member already has their own computer.

I hope this makes sense, but if you have any further questions, we're here to help!
