database disk image is malformed, fixed the hard way
Some background first, I have 1password in two Macs and one iPad. Somewhere along the line, they got "disconnected" and were not in sync.
Both Macs were backing 1Pass independently.
Recently, one Mac could no longer add logins and passwords. Upon further investigation I ran into this message:
database disk image is malformed
This happened only in one Mac.
Previously mentioned fixed involved restoring the database from a backup. This did not work nor bringing in a backup from the other Mac nor I could enable synching.
Uninstalling 1password, reinstalling 1pass and synching brought back everything. So, this is the fix I recommend in case restoring from back up does not work.
PS. I apologize if creating a new threat was not the best practice.
Best regards
