New Mac Dropbox Sync Issue

hi,

i have 1Password 4.4 installed on a new 2.6GHz Intel Core i7 with OSX 10.9.3.

I have a dropbox file that i have been successfully using for a year or two on various devices.

In trying to set up 1Password to sync to dropbox on the new mac it is failing without error messages.

Here's what i'm doing:

CURRENT: no logins or passwords etc. in 1Password

Step 1: Menu -> Preferences
Step 2: Select Sync
Step 3: Choose Dropbox folder [1password file is found by software]
Step 4: Press 'Merge with Existing'
Step 5: Type file password as requested.
Step 6: Press 'Unlock and Merge'

Software takes me back to Step 3 'Dropbox Sync' window, with no merged file, i repeat Step 3->6 a few times and the same cycle happens.

Can you advise of how to resolve this issue please.
