Software License Form
Downloading and installing 1Password for Windows v4 today and then using the program to input the license information for 1Password served to remind me of the vast difference in functionality between it and the Software License form in the Mac version of the product. In the Windows version, the form truly is a form with the labels non-editable and the various data fields receiving input from the user. In the Mac version, the labels are all editable meaning that when I attempt to tab through the fields to input data, I end up on an editable label field when I think I'm on a data entry field resulting in my overwriting the label with the data I'm inputting instead of it going into the data field where it belongs. This is a failure of the User Interface and the result is that I end up having to click into the different data fields while entering a software license on 1Password for Mac instead of using the TAB key.
I much prefer the User Interface presented on 1Password for Windows where the labels are not editable and the individual sections can be collapsed or expanded to enter information.
What is the logic behind making both the labels and the data fields editable on the Software License form for 1Password for Mac? Why is the Software License form presented in this way, but no other form that I'm aware of has a similar interface? Can anything be done to prevent situations like what I illustrated above where tabbing through the fields often results in one of the editable labels being overwritten if the user is not careful about where the cursor is located as they tab through?

All the different types have editable labels on the Mac version (as far as I'm aware) unless a label is considered required and thus hardcoded. For example, in a new Login the username and password have immutable labels but website and the generic Section are all editable to allow greater customisation. I find it very useful. It allows me to add whatever I want to any Login e.g. fake date of birth if I don't want some silly site to know my real one or if I use a custom email address and should make a note of it.
As far as I know there is no way to configure 1Password 4 for Mac to not allow editable labels so I'd say it would be about getting used to it. Once you start using customised labels I think you'll see why they're so handy.

I've been using 1Password for Mac since the very first product release, so I'm aware that forms can have editable labels. My complaint isn't with the editable labels per se, but rather with the fact that when I use the TAB key to move between fields, the labels are included in the tab order which tends to make data entry problematic. If the labels were removed from the tab order such that I don't have to worry about accidentally overwriting one of the labels when I'm using the TAB key to input data, that would be fine with me.
I don't personally use the editable labels, but I do see their usefulness and I'm not advocating for their removal.
