1Password cannot find my file

Hi there 1Password gurus! When I open up the applciation, it takes me to that welcome screen asking me to either make a "New data file" or "Find existing". I would be panicked, but I can still access the info through my web browser (can't edit though). Can someone let me know how to point 1Password to teh right place to use my existing keychain?

    Is it possible you have two copies of 1P4 running on your machine (for example, a beta version from AgileBits and a Mac App Store version)? How many 1P4 "key" symbols do you see in your browser?

    If I'm off on a wild goose chase (entirely possible) please tell us your 1P4 version number, the browser you are using and the 1P4 browser extension version number, together with your OS X version number. Do you sync with an iDevice, and if so, how? Answers may help to track down what's happening.
