Have recently upgraded to 1Password4 (looks great!) - but I did this through the Agilebits website, whereas I originally downloaded from the Macstore. I now have both 1Password and 1Password4 on my Mac. Is it safe just to delete 1Password?

    Hi @TJC,

You certainly can delete 1Password. However, there are a few caveats:

    • Do NOT use any app cleaner programs here. They have a tendency to get a bit over-zealous, and could end up removing some of your 1Password data or backups in the process. (Which would not be good.)
    • Before removing 1Password, we want to ensure that the 1Password Mini is not running in the background, as it could muddle things up down the road. Please open 1Password and then use Command-Control-Q to quit both the app and the Mini.

Then you can drag the 1Password app to the Trash, delete the Trash and restart your Mac.

That will leave you with just 1Password 4, the AgileBits webstore version. Please let me know if you have any questions! :)
