1Password Mini not submitting correct name/password

After upgrading to 1Password4 (now 4.4.1) for Mac eveything worked well. Until some days ago. The 1Password mini tool started submitting just the password or just the name on one or two crucial websites. Now it malfunctions altogether. I have thrown it away and reinstalled. To no avail. What to do?

Is there any possibility that you have two versions of 1P4 running on your computer (for example, a release version and a beta version)?

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with 1Password right now.

The 1Password mini tool started submitting just the password or just the name on one or two crucial websites.

If 1Password is failing to fill Logins that it used to work on, generally our first step in troubleshooting is to manually save a new Login. Let's try this:

• Edit the login that you currently have for this website by appending an "Old" to the title - just so you can tell them apart.
• Visit the site and fill in the fields you want filled. Do NOT click the login button.
• Click the 1Password extension, and unlock it if necessary.
• Click the gear icon (or vault icon if multiple vaults are enabled) in the upper right corner.
• Select Save new login.
• Give the entry a unique and identifiable title.
• Click Save.
• Revisit the site and see if 1Password fills in the site correctly.

If that doesn't work, could you let us know the site's address so we can test it?

Now it malfunctions altogether. I have thrown it away and reinstalled.

Could you give me a bit more detail about how it is malfunctioning? Is it not unlocking? Is it not finding your database? Is it not filling? The more detail you can provide, the more quickly we'll be able to help find a solution!

Hi Megan, thank you very much for your help. Did the first test. Would love to send you the site that 1Pw used to work with well and now fails to. As it is a banking site I would prefer to send it by mail or twitter DM. Is that possible?
As to your second question, I must restate my observation. It malfunctions on a wide scale, but not always. Then it submits the name, then opens the 1Pw information field, then does not submit the password, with a fail as a result. For this site (https://login.nrc.nl/login?) it typically opens the information page in a 1Pw pop up window, then sumbits the password after leaving the name field open.

Did you try saving a new Login manually for the https://login.nrc.nl/login page? If you open that page in your web browser, then press the Command-\ (⌘\) shortcut for Fill Login on current web page, does it fill the Gebruikersnaam and Wachtwoord fields on the page?

Which web browser are you using and which version of the 1Password extension?

Dear sjk, the extension is 4.2.3. Usually I am on safari (7.0.3). With regard to your second question: when saving a new login the nrc login page worked with the new login. I will send the banking stuff. Many thx
