Sync between iMac and iPad
I have the latest versions of Password installed on both my iMac and iPad. I would really like to be able to use my iPad for travel rather than a Powerbook. However, I have not had much luck syncing my two Mac products resulting in a less than ideal situation. Is there anywhere a list of steps needed to do this successfully? I have tried Dropbox but with little success. Maybe it is me but I think this should be easier to do than I have found so far. Lastly, I find the Favourite tab on my Mac version to be a real time saver but do not see a similar tab on the OS version. Am I missing something or is this planned for in a future release?
Thanks
Ron

Here is the 1P4 for Mac sync guide from the user manual. It will probably help you—so long as you have 1P4 for OS X on your Mac and 1P4 for iOS on your iPad.
On my version of 1P4 for iOS there is a star symbol on the bottom tool bar which when clicked shows favourites.

Just to add a bit, the star @Stephen_C is referring to is found on the left side on an iPad, whether in landscape or portrait orientation.

Hi @rappar,
Have you been able to get syncing set up between 1Password on your Mac and iPad? Please let us know if you need more help with that.
The star for the Favorites Tab in 1Password for iOS running on an iPad can be seen in this image:
There's more information about it, with an iPhone as the example, in this article:

Hi,
No, I am still having problems. However, I have discovered that my OS items, iPhone and iPad seem to want to sync using wifi not iCloud so when I try and sync with iCloud I do not get the required screens to go ahead. How can I change from wifi sync to iCloud sync? Googling this has not resulted in an answer. Also, on my iPad, I never get the star referred to above, I have a series of icons down the left side of the screen but none are the star. However, If I search for 1Password in the app store, I get a screen that says Open. When I do this, 1Password opens and I see the star and a lot fewer icons than I am used to. So, I figured that was the newer version. I had never been given the chance to update mine as far as I can tell. Do I delete the one I have on the iPad and just install the new one? Before I do that, I wanted to ask in case that means I wipe out all the information I have in the app.
Any help you can send my way would be great as I would really like to use this on the iPad and quit dragging around a heavier MacBook.
Thanks

Hi Ron ( @rappar ),
It does sound to me like you might still be using 1Password 3 for iOS. Because 1Password 4 for iOS was released as a separate app, it will not show up as an update to 1Password 3. Let's confirm which version of 1Password you currently are using on your iOS device. To find out which versions of 1Password for iOS you have, let me know which icon you see on your home screen from the following image: A, B, C or D?
If you are still using 1Password 3 for iOS, please let me know where your most up-to-date data resides: is your database complete on your Mac, or are there entries from your iOS device that will need to be saved as well. This will help us determine how best to move forward here.
