Multiple gmail accounts, multiple bank accounts
I am considering 1Password, but have a couple of questions.
I have four different gmail accounts which I frequently keep open. How does 1Password handle the multiple user names and passwords?
I also have multiple accounts at the same bank. Can 1Password handle that? If so, how difficult is it when I need to log into one of them?
Thanks!

I can answer this question. I have three Gmail accounts that I use regularly. I have a separate login entry for each account, and when I wish to log in to one of them, 1Password shows me a list of all of them, and I pick the one I want to use. I have marked the one I use most often as a favorite; it appears at the top of the list in mini. I also have given each a unique name so I can tell them apart on the list. Something like Google - Main; Google - Business, etc.
As far as being logged in simultaneously to all of them, I do that through the Apple Mail programs on iOS and OS X devices. I don't think you can be logged in on the web simultaneously to all, but I might be wrong about that. I've always needed to log out of the currently accessed account to be able to log in to another one. This is a Google issue, though, not a 1Password issue.
I don't see why 1Password couldn't manage multiple bank logins, but I don't have experience with that. My bank has one login that then provides me with access to all my accounts.

I think you have answered one question with a useful tip. It sounds like you can uniquely identify each gmail account manually ...right?

Yes, you can modify the name of any record while you are in edit mode for that record.

BTW hawkmoth ...you can keep more than one gmail account open at a time. But, perhaps not through your mail program. Mine stay open and play nicely in Safari.
Thanks for you help on my question. We are still evaluating our vulnerability vs any anticipated complexity using 1Password.

Do you keep the multiple accounts open in separate Safari tabs?

Sorry I missed your question, Hawkmoth. Yes, I open each of my gmail accounts in separate tabs so I can monitor activity. Works well. It is good to remember that if you want to sign out of one of the accounts, it will sign out of all of them.

Thanks for the followup, @pearlsmom.
Have you been able to get 1Password working okay with multiple Gmail (Google) and/or bank accounts? Whether or not it's possible to be logged in under different accounts at the same time within a single web browser is really an issue with the browser and not 1Password. And, like you mentioned, logging out of one Google account logs you out of all of them.
If there's anything more we can do to assist you with this please let us know. We're happy to help! :)

Hi @LesF,
Google's instructions that @benfdc helpfully referred to for using multiple accounts simultaneously have different methods for doing it, regardless of whether or not 1Password is used. I suggest checking those out to see which would be your own personal best "best practice" combined with 1Password; no one size fits all. :)
With multiple profiles/users configured in Chrome, there can be an issue causing 1Password mini to stay open after using the Command-\ shortcut to fill from a single Login item on the current web page. When that happens, tapping Escape or pressing Command-\ again closes mini. That'll be fixed with a future update; we've got a pretty clear idea of its cause.
There's some information about configuring forum Notification Preferences: here (post #4). I'm also sending you a private message about this so you'll get an email notification for that. :)

I had trouble with multiple google accounts and 1password as well but I found a solution that works quite good for me. Hope this approach helps, I put it down in a short blog-post over on my website: danielsetzermann.com/mac/solution-multiple-google-accounts-1passwords-fill-submit-feature/
Cheers, Daniel
