Amazon.com pasted password is short [Resolved: Save new Login]
Hi there,
Anytime I try to log in to Amazon.com using the 1P chrome extension, it seems to paste in a shorter password than I have in my database. If I go into the chrome extension and copy/paste it in manually, then it works fine. I have confirmed that the same issue occurs in Safari as well. Thanks for your help!

This can happen if a site has a length restriction on passwords. I don't know if Amazon does as I don't use it, but see this post for example.

Hi Mark,
I'm sorry to hear that you're having difficulty with Amazon's website right now. Please note that some websites don't accurately display a password's length when filling (some sites will show ten or twelve dots to represent the password, regardless of the actual password's length) so I wouldn't rely too much on what the field displays when your password is filled in.
Let's try saving a new Login manually and see if that gets things behaving a bit better:
- Edit the login that you currently have for this website by appending an "Old" to the title - just so you can tell them apart.
- Visit the site and fill in the fields you want filled. Do NOT click the login button.
- Click the 1Password extension, and unlock it if necessary.
- Click the gear icon (or vault icon if multiple vaults are enabled) in the upper right corner.
- Select Save new login.
- Give the entry a unique and identifiable title.
- Click Save.
- Revisit the site and see if 1Password fills in the site correctly.
Please let us know if things are still misbehaving after these steps and we'll investigate further. :)
