After Restoring Mac OS from a Time Machine Backup

I restored my Mac internal drive from a past Time Machine backup.

What happens to 1PW3 when I go back on the internet? Will my Mac cause my Dropbox 1PW file to be changed to a now obsolete version on my Mac or the other way around?

In other words, how does one restore 1PW3 from a Dropbox file without causing a sync to occur when first restarting 1PW3 on the Mac which might wipe out the more current 1PW3 file on Dropbox?

Hi @BillW68,

To ensure that 1Password uses the file directly from Dropbox, instead of trying to merge older data, please do the following:

• If 1Password is open, use the 1Password menu > Quit 1Password.
• Open a Finder window to your Dropbox account
• Find your 1Password.agilekeychain file
• Double-click it
• 1Password will open and prompt you for your Master Password.
