Feature Request: Extended warranties

Would it be possible to add a category for Extended Warranties with fields for item description, serial number, purchase date, purchase location, payment method, registered to, warranty provider and contact info, length of warranty, purchase price. I realize it's possible to modify the software license form ourselves; I was just thinking it would be nice to have an actual category that "fit" the purpose. Thanks for taking the time to review this idea.

    There have been many requests for further categories—and, indeed, custom categories. At present I tend to use secure notes for things similar to those you mention. Here is a post from AgileBits which talks about custom categories and also suggests a way of creating a generic item template (which may help you).
