I have MAC OS X 10.9.4 (on laptop) and 10.9.5 (on desktop) that sync seamlessly between each other. However, my iPhone 5s (iOS 8) doesn't sync in the cloud with the computers. I have not upgraded to Cloud Drive (waiting for Yosemite). I have tried deleting iCloud data, and re-syncing without success. Any advice? do I need to wait until Yosemite?

do I need to wait until Yosemite?

Yes, if you want to use iCloud to sync. This is from the iCloud in 1Password 5 FAQ:

In 1Password 5, iCloud sync requires iOS 8 and OS X 10.10 (Yosemite). Because Yosemite has not yet been released, it is currently not possible to sync iOS 8 devices with Macs using iCloud.

If you absolutely need to sync with a Mac over iCloud, we recommend waiting for Yosemite to come out before upgrading to iOS 8 and 1Password 5.

Edit: but see also this helpful and detailed AgileBits post here.

    Indeed.

As mentioned in the iCloud for 1Password 5 FAQ and Megan's post (to which @Stephen_C‌ so helpfully linked), Dropbox and Wi-Fi Sync are solid options until Apple releases Yosemite.
