First, please, please: give a preference to turn off the warning for unprotected pages. It would be really nice to have a Safari style "Never for this website".

Second: please show more items in the menus. If there is plenty of vertical space, why shorten them and make me click "Show more items"?

I can understand why you might want such an option. Let me take a moment to explain when the warning appears, though.

The warning you are referring to appears when you are trying to fill a Login on an insecure (http) site but you have a secure (https) URL saved in the Login item.

You can resolve this in one of two ways.

    • If you really don't care that your password would be transmitted completely in the clear — unencrypted — you can change the URL saved in the Login item to the insecure (http) one. Obviously, if the site has a secure login page (and it presumably does since the secure URL is saved in the Login item) we can't in good conscience recommend using the insecure login page.
    • You can visit the URL stored in your Login item and log in securely with non warning.

As far as I understand, we have no plans to make it easier to behave insecurely, but I'll definitely pass your vote along to the developers if you wish. Please let me know if you would still prefer the option even after knowing the above.

Agreed and duly noted. Thank you for your vote on this!

I'd still prefer the option, many sites I trust have logins on insecure pages. They shouldn't, but I'm not going to change them...

I know there's a risk and I'm willing to take it for these sites.

And thanks on the menu, I hope we see that soon!
