iCloud sync -- not an option for Mac *and* Windows users. Correct? [Yes, use Dropbox instead]

For syncing data between multiple systems iCloud will work great if your customer is wholly in the Apple ecosystem. However, I believe that iCloud can't be accessed from within Windows. And that because of this iCloud is not an appropriate syncing approach for mixed Mac and Windows users. Please confirm that this is a fair characterization.

@WhamboMPS‌ That's a very good summary. For cross platform synchronisation you'd want to look at Dropbox and hopefully that works for you.

Correct. iCloud can't be used by 1Password for Windows.

iCloud can be accessed on Windows with the iCloud Drive application, but 1Password doesn't use that particular form of iCloud.

  • Hi guys,

@WhamboMPS‌, as the other said here, you're correct as Dropbox is your best option for now. You might find our Sync guide useful: https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-mac/5/en/topic/sync

iCloud Drive might be possible in the future but at the moment, it doesn't support our specific format as it can miss certain changes.
