Secondary Vault Master Password
Awhile back, I created a secondary password vault, with the intention of sharing common logins with my wife.
Now, I'm finally getting around to trying out this feature and I don't remember what the master password on the secondary vault is, because it's unlocked automatically when I unlock 1Password.
The question is, where in 1Password can I look up the password for the second vault? I assume it's stored somewhere, but I couldn't find it.
I don't want to be responsible for remembering TWO passwords!

You're correct, the Master Password for your secondary vault is being stored in your primary vault, otherwise it wouldn't be able to open it. Now the bad news is it isn't accessible to us as the users.
What I recommend doing is creating a new secondary vault and copying all the items from this current one to it. You can do this by selecting All Items in the left pane when viewing that vault. Select any item in the vault and you can then use ⌘A to select everything. Right click on the selection, go to the Share menu option and from within there you can select the new secondary vault and then Copy.
With everything in this newly created secondary vault, you can start sharing it in the same way you intended to with your first attempt. Once happy it's all working you can delete the now useless secondary vault.
I actually went through everything you just have. I had a secondary vault for ages, and then completely forgot what the password was. After doing the steps above* I made a point of storing the secondary vault's password in my primary vault for the time where I knew I'd go and forget it again.
- Because I wanted to really keep the name of the secondary vault that I'd forgotten the password to, I actually used a temporary secondary vault, transferred all the items into it, deleted the real secondary vault and then created a new one with the previous name and colour, just this time with a password I knew I was going to store

Seconding on this .. it'd be nice to be able to access the vault password as something stored in 1password.

Hi @sandinak,
Thanks for your feedback! Please note that you can create an item in your Primary vault to store the master password for a secondary vault, so you don't forget it. You could use a Secure Note for that, or another type of item if you want.
Aside from doing that, there's no way to find the master password for secondary vaults in your Primary vault. This is because master passwords aren't actually stored in vaults. In fact, they're not stored anywhere at all. This is part of what makes 1Password so secure (and incidentally, it is also the reason why we can’t recover a Master Password for you if you ever forget it). Now, littlebobbytables originally said "the Master Password for your secondary vault is being stored in your primary vault" and that we simply aren't able to see it. But he was giving a very simplified description of how the Primary vault unlocks a secondary vault in order to avoid giving a much longer answer than necessary in order to reply to the original question.
The way it actually works is that, when creating a vault and choosing a master password, that password is used to encrypt a key, and that key encrypts the data in the vault. When you enter your master password to unlock your vault, what you're really doing is decrypting the key, and that key then decrypts your vault. When you have multiple vaults in 1Password for Mac or iOS, unlocking the Primary vault automatically unlocks the secondary vaults by using their encrypted keys, not their master passwords.
That's also a somewhat simplified explanation of how vaults and master passwords work, but hopefully it helps to explain why your Primary vault cannot show you your master passwords for your secondary vaults - it doesn't know what they are.
If you have more questions about that, please don't hesitate to let us know - we're always glad to help!
