Is the app locked down after so many failed attempts?

If someone was trying to guess my Main file Password, after so many failed attempts would it lock the program down and send me a secure E-Mail? Or would that be good future addition?

    It would not.

    Or would that be good future addition?

    It isn't technically feasible nor is it of any real security benefit to do so for an architecture like 1Password's.
