Since updating to iOS 8, my iPhone and iPad do not sync with my Macs.

I have made several changes on my iMac and macbook and they both sync to each other, but the iOS devices do not get these changes. They are both showing recent sync times. I have deleted the apps and re-installed and I've deleted the iCloud data and re-synced new data from my iMac. But the iOS devices still do not get the new changes. I keep all apps upto date. I am running Mavericks on both Macs and no I am not considering moving to the new Mac OS. I believe my Mac version is 4.4.2 and my iPhone version is the latest from the app store. What's going on?

    Hi @spike747‌

If your iPhone is running iOS 8 and you're running 1Password 5 then I'm afraid you've been caught in iCloud changes. The iOS 8 launch also saw the new iCloud being launched in tandem. The downside was the new iCloud was only compatible with iOS 8 and the yet to be released Yosemite (at that point in time). Obviously Yosemite is out now but there is still the issue of iCloud compatibility between Mavericks/iOS 7 and Yosemite/iOS 8. 1Password 5 makes use of the new CloudKit framework, Apple's new framework for syncing and designed to make up for a lot of the flaws they became aware of under the old sync system.

Now updating your OS X machines to Yosemite and then updating 1Password 4 to 1Password 5 is one route but I get that you don't want to. How would you feel about changing sync methods from iCloud to Dropbox? If that's something you wouldn't mind trying it will work. You could also keep your two Macs in sync via the old iCloud and then sync your phone via WiFi with one of the Macs. As you're using iCloud it would seem a safe assumption that you only have a primary vault so WiFi is an option.

Let me know and if you want we can assist with changing to another sync method.
