I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the extension and it still doesn't work. When I click on the 1P icon in Safari, a new window opens with an error message saying there is no app to open it. Help!

    Hi @melissa1023‌

Can you confirm if 1Password mini is running, as the extension needs that for it to work. The default keyboard shortcut for opening 1Password mini is ⌥⌘\ If that opens up a 1Password menu on your screen then 1Password mini is running and the extension should work.

One more thing to confirm would be if you're running the right version of the extension for the version of 1Password that you're using. Can you confirm that you're running either 1Password 4 or 5 and that the extension is version 4.2.5? The 1Password version can be checked by going to 1Password > About 1Password and the extension version can be checked by going into Safari's preferences and heading to the Extensions tab. Click on the 1Password extension and you can see the version number.

1Password mini doesn't appear to be running.
I'm running 1Password 3.8.22 on my Mac. I checked for updates and it says that is the latest version.
    The Safari extension is 4.2.5.

  • Hi @melissa1023‌,

Okay, that makes sense now. The extension you're using is only for 1Password 4 or 5 for Mac, it wouldn't work with the 1Password 3 version you're using.

Grieg has been replying to your email about this and I just did as well now. You need to uninstall the 1Password 4 extension and install 1Password 3 extension from here: https://agilebits.com/extensions/mac/index.html

To keep things simple, let's move this to the email, so we can focus on helping you there instead of doing it in different areas here. I'll close this one.
