Problems with login to Amazon sites since update

I upgraded to OS X Yosemite recently and 1Password was also updated, I'm on version 5.0.2 now. Since the update I have had huge problems to log in to Amazon (DE and US) but with no other sites whatsoever.
What happens is that on the login page I let 1Password fill in my credentials, submit the form, and the page says that the login didn't work. From that point on I can not log in AT ALL anymore with my email address and password, even if I don't use 1Password but fill it in manually.
I need to reset my password. When I set a new one, I can log in normally again, maybe one, two, three times and then it happens again, and I need to reset my password again.
I am not sure what causes this problem, sometimes (when I remember) I simply copy the password from 1Password and paste it in the password field, and then it (mostly) works.
Any idea what might cause these problems?

    Hi @zoopzoop‌,

I'm sorry to hear about the problems you're having with Amazon items. Can you tell me if you're using both Amazon .de/.com domains in the same Login item or you have two Login items for both Amazon domains?

Also, can you tell me how you're filling in; are you double-clicking the Amazon items from 1Password or going to Amazon site manually in the browser and then invoking 1Password to fill in via keyboard or pressing the 1Password icon?

It'd be nice to know which browser you're using as well as the 1Password extension version in your browser.

    Thanks!

    Hi Mike,

I have separate login items for each Amazon site.
I never double click on the login item in the 1Password app, but navigate to the login form instead and then press alt-command-# which brings up this window: http://screencast.com/t/XJ6Uz1Uiek
Then I only have to press enter since the correct login item is already selected. Then email and password are filled in with a little animation (the email is mostly already filled in, probably a cookie) and the form is submitted.
I'm using Chrome 38 and the 1Password Chrome extension version is 4.2.5.90.

    Cheers,
    Manuel

    Hi @zoopzoop‌

Even if the login isn't working it shouldn't result in you being locked out and having to reset the password so you have our sympathy.

If you're using Chrome 38 I'm assuming you're running a beta? I've checked and my machine has Chrome 37.0.2062.124 and I'm being informed I'm up to date (unless it's lying to me). I wonder if the beta is interacting badly with our extension.

A couple of suggestions spring to mind.

    1. Does the issue persist if you create a new Login using our Saving a Login Manually guide?
    2. Does the issue persist if you try another browser (just for troubleshooting).
    3. If the answer to 2. is no, what happens if you revert to the latest stable Chrome, does the issue persist there?

If we can isolate it to a Chrome beta we know we have work to do to support the next version and we can pass that information on to our extension developers. If it isn't we can continue troubleshooting the issue with you to determine why this is happening. Let us know how you get along.

    Hi Bobby,

Nope, I'm not running a Beta Chrome, at least as far as I know. It's even updated to version 39 now: http://screencast.com/t/eDTlUtkGE
I'll try your suggestions and see if that solves the problem.

    Hi @zoopzoop‌

Let me know the answers to 1. & 2. when you get a chance then as you've taken care of 3. It seems my copy of Chrome was lying - a fresh download and I'm on the same version as you.
