Feature request - instant login toobar button
I'm sensitive to making the login process as quick an painless as possible. With many dozens of logins per day, even the act of clicking the iPassword button, and then targeting and clicking the (usually) top item has begun feeling tedious.
This suggestion is to offer an additional toolbar button, perhaps optional, that lets the user choose the top item without multiple steps. 9 times out of 10, this would be perfect for me. That is, in most cases I could click the one button, and bam!
I consider this shortcut the most significant advantage of Roboform over iPassword.
A possible optimization might be to enable the button only when a domain has one record, forcing the user to take the long way when there are options. But I would personally dislike this restriction as I can handle the choice.
I hope you'll consider this enhancement.

Hi @stevefal
Have you tried the keyboard shortcut ⌘\ which is to "Fill Login on current web page"? If there is only one item that matches it will automatically fill it in, otherwise it brings up a list that match the current URL.
Let us know if that meets your requirements.

Thanks for the tip. Firstly, for me it does not bring up a list in the >1 case. It just picks the first one.
In either case, I don't consider this much of a shortcut because it requires the right hand which is usually on the mouse. Browsing is primarily mouse-driven, and frequently visited sites, which would most benefit from efficiency, are often (if not typically) accessed via bookmark. So to me, going to and logging into a secure site is ideally, click+click of the mouse with one hand, not click + two hands and eyes to the keyboard.
On a related note, both shortcut concepts would ideally prioritize favorite logins for a given domain. For instance, in my test case, my rarely-used login appears first, and my favorite one is second. The ⌘\ shortcut still picks the first one, making the shortcut useless.

Hi @stevefal
That's odd, as long as I have two or more entries with the same URL in the website field I'm offered a list of viable items - I can't get it to pick one automatically like you're experiencing. I'd say we need to resolve that regardless as any improvement would be based on the current behaviour.
With a site where you're seeing this behaviour, do the URLS in both website fields match? Also, what is the state of the 1Password preferences in the Browser tab? (1Password > Preferences...).
