1Password doesn't minimise when 'running apps' list is opened

If you open an app requiring a username/password, then tap the 1Password button, it switches to the 1Password view. If you then tap the Square icon in the bottom bar (to view the list of running apps), the 1Password view isn't dismissed. If you then tap Cancel in the top right of the 1Password view, it shows that it had switched to the running apps list, but it should probably cause the view to close automatically.

  • Thank you for the feedback! Unfortunately, this is a limitation that we are currently trying to work around. Ideally, we would like to be able to detect when the user taps either the home button or the recents button. However, Android doesn't make it easy for us to do this...

Android has its reasons for not notifying services of home and recent buttons presses. If a malicious app were able to detect anytime a user tapped the home button or recents button, it could take action to intercept or block those events. For example, the malicious app could possibly use this to surreptitiously take over the home screen or overview screen.

That being said, there may still be ways that we can approximately detect these events. This is something that we are still investigating.
