HTTP authentication?

I'm aware that both Firefox and Chrome have supported interaction with the HTTP auth UI for a while now, though I'm not sure about Safari. (In any case, a hack can be used for Safari while the issue is brought up with Apple). I believe this has been a much-desired feature for a while now. Could you please consider implementing it at this point?

    This actually is something we're working on, although I can't make any promises as to a timeframe at this point.
