When I updated my OS X Yosemite to OS X 10.10.1 it informed me that 1Password was incompatible with this update. How can I get a new version of 1 Password for Safari so I do not lose all of my existing passwords?

    There have been reports from others of a message that 1Password (rather than the 1Password extension) is "incompatible" on the update to OS X 10.10.1. However, so far as I'm aware nobody has:

    1. resolved what causes the message;
    2. reported that 1P has stopped working as a result.

    It would help if you would look in the "incompatible software" folder on your Mac and report what 1P files are there (if any). In any event, if Safari has stopped working with 1P I rather suspect it has nothing to do with the message you saw on the OS update.

    Is the Safari extension actually working for you now, or not? If not, do you get any error when you try to use 1P in Safari? If so, what is the error?

  • Hi @wernerne,

    Can you tell us which version of 1Password you're using? What version of OS X were you using prior to the update? 10.10.0, or something different?
