Auto Fill - Not working as expected (with more than 5 saved logins)

Hi there,

I am having an issue where the auto-fill is auto selecting the first (or last used) login for a website (GoDaddy.com) rather than showing me the list of possible logins. Here is a screenshot of 1P Mini when I click on the icon in the menubar:

Ideally, it would display a list of potential logins, and I could use the cursor (or mouse) to select which login I'd like to use for that session.

Thoughts?

Bob

  • Hi @bnpluss,

This is likely caused by subdomain matching. Please make sure all GoDaddy logins have the correct URL (including subdomain) to match the page you're filling on. Alternatively, you can enable the Lenient URL matching option under Preferences > Browser, and subdomains will be ignored. Please let me know if that helps. :)

That seems to have done the trick. Thanks @JasperP‌!

It was strange though - I had 5 GoDaddy login's with http://www.godaddy.com as the URL, and one with ca.godaddy.com. However, when I went to GoDaddy.com, it auto-filled the one login with the ca.godaddy.com URL. I changed this one URL, and it fixed it.

    Thanks again,
    Bob

You're welcome, @bnpluss. Glad to hear that helped. :)

When I visit http://www.godaddy.com, I get automatically re-directed to https://ca.godaddy.com, so that may explain what's going on there if the same happens to you.

That's odd - it's not redirecting me to https://ca.godaddy.com, even though I am connecting from London, ON. Not sure exactly what was happening there, but glad I was able to get sorted out with your assistance.

    Cheers,
    Bob

  • Hmm... that's strange. Anyway, I'm glad to hear it's resolved now. :)
