Can you support syncing just to a local file?

I have 1P running on two devices: a Macbook with MacOS 10.9 (so I'm limited to 1P version 4 which doesn't support WiFi sync) and an Android phone. I keep the two in sync using Bittorrent Sync, with 1P set up to just store the vault as a local file. BT Sync takes care of the rest behind the scenes, and this works well for me. My wife just bought an iPhone 6, so I installed 1P on it for her, but immediately discovered that it can ONLY sync using Dropbox, iCloud, or "WiFi Sync." It doesn't give me an option to just have a local 1P vault file.

Without upgrading my Mac to MacOS 10.10, or choosing one of the cloud sync providers (which I'd rather not do for security reasons), it seems I'm out of luck for syncing this iPhone. Is there any reason why 1P for iOS can't have an option to save the vault file locally?

    Hi @omehegan‌

iOS does not have a file system like Android does (or, rather, does not make it nearly as accessible -- it is invisible to the end user). Unfortunately the closest you'd get to that sort of arrangement on iOS is with WiFi sync, which as you mentioned requires 1Password 5 for Mac (OS X 10.10).
