Trial Expired Notice - business license

Hello,

My 1P5 is showing the "trial expired" notice. I got it from a business license from a previous company I was with (almost an year ago).

I thought the license was good for life for each employee (even when no longer with the company), is that correct?

I'm unable to use my email to recover my license, and I don't have access to the license anymore.

Appreciate any help!

    Have you seen the sticky at the top of the forum. Does it help?

    Is your copy of 1P from the Mac App Store or direct from AgileBits? (What does it say if you go to 1P > About 1Password?)

    Edit: I appreciate you say it was a "business licence" but are you now trying to use 1P on a different machine to the one on which it was originally licensed?

    Not necessarily. The business that purchased the license owns it. You are only able to use it so long as they give you permission to do so. Using their license occupies one of their seats. If they do not plan to re-distribute your seat, then they may allow you to continue using 1Password. If they plan on re-using it, you cannot continue to.

    @Stephen_C Business licenses are sold by our online business store: http://agilebits.com/store/business. The license agreement for them still falls under the older "per person, per platform" model (i.e. One seat for each person in your organization using 1Password for each platform they are using it on).

    Ben, thanks for the information. That's fine, I guess this is what happened. I'll buy a license for myself.

    A suggestion for improvement is to make the expiration message clear in those cases, something like "your business license seat was revoked".
