List scrolling in 1Password 5

When using 1Password Mini from the menu bar in Yosemite or using the button in the toolbar in Safari 8, the list of Logins is longer than the height of the window. I thought the list used to scroll if I moved the cursor to its bottom, now it doesn't move, and just stops when the cursor gets to the bottom. On my trackpad, I can scroll further down by pushing the list with two fingers, but using a Magic Mouse, moving the ball to scroll doesn't work at all. Is there a fix for this?

Are you by any chance using the Yosemite 10.10.2 beta? If so, it's a known bug in that version of Yosemite.

  • Hi @jbastin,

Is this an Apple Magic Mouse, or a Mighty Mouse? The key difference is that the Mighty Mouse has a physical scroll ball where as the Magic Mouse is more like a mouse/trackpad hybrid. If it's a Mighty Mouse with the physical scroll ball, can rule out it being dirty or otherwise physically malfunctioning? It should be as easy as confirming that the scroll ball works to scroll other things, like a web page in Safari. It might seem like a silly test, but just last week did a bunch of testing with every mouse device I could find because of an issue reported like this and wasn't able to find a scroll-capable mouse where scrolling didn't work... only to find out that the user who reported it was using a malfunctioning Mighty Mouse.

There's also the possibility that you're using 10.10.2 as @Stephen_C mentioned, which has a nasty little bug that breaks scrolling.

If neither of these are the case, we can surely look into it more.
