Do I need a license for 1Password for Mac if I don't use iCloud syncing?

I'm confused, it's free on the iPhone, and has been free on my Mac...and still works without a license. Am I missing something? I never wanted to upgrade to Premium version anyway. Understanding needed.

1PW was never free on the Mac. There was (and is) a free trial, and it seems that in 1PW4 it sometimes did not stop full use of 1PW even after the trial expired. What was supposed to happen (and does with 1PW 5, which throws up a "trial expired" notice) is that at the end of the trial you can still use 1PW for existing passwords but cannot add new ones.

1PW for iOS is now free in its basic form, and it is up to you to decide whether the extra features are worth the cost of adding them.

    Hi @afraz84‌

I apologize for the confusion! The iOS app is free, with an In-App Purchase to access some premium features. However, the Mac app is not free. We offer a free 30 day trial via our website, but after you've used the app for 30 days, you will be prompted to purchase a license if you wish to continue using the app.

I hope this helps, but we're here if you have any further questions!
