Hi - I wondered if someone could clarify this please:-
I am attempting to move all passwords over to 1 password and wondered if this assumption is correct:-
Safari , Firefox and Macs Keychain ALL have their separate history of saved passwords - and to move over to 1password - I will need to gather and move all these over - then delete the 3 relevant pages of stored data on those individual sources. I think this is right - but would appreciate clarification. Thank you
Mark

    Hi Mark ( @100mark ),

If you've been allowing each browser to collect and save your password data, then you might have a bit of a scattered database to deal with. However, 1Password makes it easy to build your database by offering to save new Logins automatically. Just ensure that the 'Automatically ask to Save new Logins' option is checked in Preferences > Browser, then log in to sites as you normally would (or use the passwords stored in your browser), and when 1Password notices that you're entering a username and password, it will pop up and offer to save it for you. This is an easy way to build your database - you'll find that soon enough your most important data will be safely tucked inside 1Password.

Once your data is stored in 1Password, you can indeed remove the extraneous password information that is stored in your browsers.
