App Missing After Latest Update! Help, please.

Maybe I've missed seeing an announcement, but after I updated to the latest version of 1Password last night, the application itself has disappeared from my computer. Even the Chrome browser extension is missing. What's going on?

Hi @ggblk123,

I'm sorry to hear about this problem! That's very strange and I don't know why or how that would have happened. Even if the main 1Password app was removed, that shouldn't cause the extension to disappear. Have you checked in the Applications folder to see if you can find the 1Password app there?

If the 1Password app no longer shows up in Applications, you can try simply reinstalling it. If you purchased 1Password for Mac from the Mac App Store, launch the Mac App Store and reinstall 1Password from the Purchases section (make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to make the purchase).

Or if you bought 1Password for Mac from our web store, you can download it from our download site.

Yep, it completely disappeared, from not only my applications folder, but from the computer as a whole. I did reinstall it just now and all seems okay. Still, I'm confused how it disappeared in the first place. Impossible for me to do this without having noticed.

Interesting! I'm not sure how that would be possible, but I'm glad to hear you were able to get this resolved.
