Restoring 1Password

This knowledge base article on "Where does 1Password store its data?" should help you. There's also one called "How do I find my backups?" which may help.
In essence, what I'd be inclined to do is to go to 1P5 > Preferences > Backup and choose Backup Now so that at least you have a current backup of all your 1P data before the OS X re-install. After you have re-installed the OS you can put back in place the 1P folders so that once you re-install the app it should find your existing data (make sure you choose I've used 1Password before when you run the new installation for the first time).

Hi @Megan,
I went into 1Password and then went to Backups and click Show in Finder and copied that file to my external drive. Upon reinstalling Yosemite and selecting the most recent back up file I am not able to move forward. I'm afraid I've lost everything again. I also have iCloud sharing enabled too. Not sure if it will restore that way as well.
Thanks for your help with this.

Hi @jkav,
Can you please elaborate on what you mean by this:
Upon reinstalling Yosemite and selecting the most recent back up file I am not able to move forward.
You should be able to restore 1Password from the backup file you copied to your backup file to the external drive. If you're having trouble doing that, please let us know more details about what you've tried to do, and what happened when you tried to do it. As long as you have the backup file, you shouldn't need to be worried about losing your 1Password data, it's just a matter of using that file to restore the data to the 1Password app. I'm sure we'll be able to help you with that! :) The more details you can give us about what's happening on your end, the better.
You also mentioned something about iCloud. Do you mean you had been using iCloud sync in 1Password before reinstalling Yosemite? If so, then you should be able to re-sync your 1Password data from iCloud. Have you tried to do that?
