dropbox icon missing & no longer syncing

i have noticed that the dropbox icon is missing from the menu bar and items are no longer syncing between devices. help please.

    Hi @HyrqTsp28FKCqEYNNPJ‌

    When you say the Dropbox icon is missing from the menu bar, I assume you're referring to the OS X menu bar. Do you still have Dropbox in /Applications/? and if you do what happens if you open it? Certainly if Dropbox isn't running for any reason then syncing wouldn't work.

    yes i am referring to os x, it is in my applications but when i try to open it says "you cant open the application "dropbox" because its not responding"

    What happens if you reboot your Mac? If it still isn't responsive you may need to drag the Dropbox application to your Trash and download a fresh copy in the hope that it helps.
