Vault logins not synced properly between my 2 Macbooks

Hello,

I have setup a 1Password vault on my Macbook Pro which I have set up under the 1Password -> Preferences -> Sync tab as "Syncing with Dropbox". Something does not appear to be working properly with this setup. I have another Macbook Air that is linked to the 1password.agilekeychain file I setup initially on my Macbook Pro. The logins/passwords are all completely up-to-date on the MBP but I have old out-dated passwords in the MB Air. How can I fix the setup on my Macbook Air so that it removes any passwords that are not up-to-date??

    So there are a couple of things we can check to see where the issue is.

    Go back into the Sync tab of 1Password's preferences and check to see if the location of the 1Password.agilekeychain is the same on both machines.

    If both are definitely using the same 1Password.agilekeychain then lets look at the keychain itself and see if we can figure out what is going on. The agilekeychain allows something called 1PasswordAnywhere to view your agilekeychain from any browser. So you can view the agilekeychain that is on the Dropbox server and if you use Safari then you can also view the agilekeychain locally using this page about Local file restrictions in 1PasswordAnywhere.

    At this point we'll have a better idea of where the issue is. So if you can let us know which agilekeychains have the correct password and which don't we can use that information to narrow down the source of the issue. When I say agilekeychains (plural) I'm referring to the local copy on both of your two machines and the copy on Dropbox's servers.

    Hi littlebobbytables,

    That was the problem. One of my macs was syncing with iCloud while the other one was syncing with my Dropbox account. Both are now using my Dropbox account and they are now identical. Thank you so much!
