Two Mac's + two ipads
My wife and I have separate laptop MacBooks, iPads and separate 1Password accounts. We also have a dropbox account.
My wife's 1Password diverts to mine if we open up 1Password in dropbox. She then has lost her 1Password.
We want to keep the accounts separate. What are we doing wrong?

Hi @tampatom
If you haven't already it might be worth checking the backups on your wife's copy of 1Password as you should be able to retrieve her lost vault. The backups are visible in the Backup tab in 1Password's preferences. All you need to do is select one and the Restore button will become enabled.
Certain there is nothing stopping you having completely individual vaults but if you're going to share a single Dropbox account then you do have to be careful when you set up Dropbox syncing. The reason why is when you sync your primary vault it is always called 1Password.agilekeychain. So if you both set up syncing it's possible your woes are a result of one of your vaults overwriting the other.
Assuming my gut feeling on this is correct I would say your best bet would be to briefly disable Dropbox sync on all your devices. Then create a separate folder for you and your wife and ensure each of your own 1Password.agilekeychains goes into your own folder. Then, set up 1Password on the other devices, ensuring you are pointing to the correct one.
So the first thing to do is log into the Dropbox website and do a search for agilekeychain. How many folders are there called 1Password.agilekeychain? If it's one then my suspicion is likely correct. Let us know and we can take you through the steps of disabling Dropbox sync on all your devices and ensuring you don't interfere with each other's syncing.
