Password Window stays open, allowing access to my passwords

I love 1 Password, but in the latest upgrade, when I click on it to open a site, the detail window stays open as long as my mouse is depressed on it. This would allow anyone to simply drag the cursor to my password field and open it. What can I do to eliminate this?

    Hi @rossjim‌

It might very well be my brain is still recovering from Hogmanay but could you explain in a little more detail what you're observing please. If there's a flaw of some kind I'll more than happily bring it to the attention of our developers but I'd better ensure I understand.

I assume you're referring to 1Password mini (see below)

It's true you can move the mouse around without having the window disappear although clicking anywhere e.g. to return focus to your browser for example will cause all of 1Password mini's menu to close.

Is the concern access to 1Password when you're away from the machine or somebody doing something while you're at the machine?

Once I better understand your concerns I can communicate that on so I hope you will post back.

I guess I am concerned that if someone else (a visitor/guest/intruder/hacker) understood 1Password, they could see my confidential info for all my passwords. It's not likely, but I do try to be as cautious and knowledgeable as I can. Generally I figure I've done something wrong, or not using the software properly. The issue aside, I really appreciate 1Password, and have go to work on getting it operating on my iPad and iPhone!

    Hi @rossjim

There certainly isn't anything wrong with being cautious regarding your security. On that topic, in addition to all the auto lock settings (in the Security tab of 1Password's preferences) you can also manually lock your vault any time you wish. The default keyboard shortcut is ⌃⌥⌘L but you can change it in the General tab of 1Password's preferences. That will hopefully allow you a degree of confidence any time you need to walk away from your machine if even just for a moment. If you have any specific questions we of course will be happy to answer as best we can
