1Password on two Mac's is not syncing

Devices being used:

  • iMac
  • Macbook Pro
  • iPhone 6

Installed in this order:

1- iPhone 6 (i added some Login's then synced to iCloud)
2- iMac (synced with iCloud so it imported data perfectly)
3- Macbook Pro (synced with iCloud so it imported data perfectly)

After that, i changed iPhone settings to sync with iMac and it worked fine.

Now i added a whole bunch of login's and stuff on the Macbook Pro but it didn't update the other devices though i checked all and it says synced seconds ago. i expected Macbook Pro to push it iCloud which will push it to iMac and automatically it will push it to iPhone 6 but nothing is happening.

I have an option to sync iPhone with Macbook Pro through WiFi but then every time i change on any Mac, i have to sync over WiFi ?

Kindly Advice

  • Hi @sharkawy,

Can you tell us the versions of 1Password you’re using on your devices as well as their OS version?

i expected Macbook Pro to push it iCloud which will push it to iMac and automatically it will push it to iPhone 6 but nothing is happening.

That is the right expectation and we do manage iCloud directly starting with 1Password 5 for iOS and Mac, so it should’ve worked instantly in almost all cases.

If you can tell us the versions, it would let us know how to proceed.

No, iCloud sync should be working on its own without any pushes.

Can you do a test for me:

    1. In 1Password for Mac, create a new Login and fill in some fake data, save it. Wait about 5 minutes before proceeding to the next step.
    2. In 1Password on your iPhone, unlock, go to the Settings > Sync, and tap on Sync Now.

After the sync is done, go back to the Categories > Logins and see if you can find the fake new Login item. Let me know what happened.
