Multiple users on a mac
Hi, I downloaded One Password from the App Store so don't know how this is meant to work license wise.
I'm working with this fine on my side of the computer and I've recommended this to my wife who has her own user account on the same computer that One Password is loaded on.
I've set up One password perfectly on my side but if I log out and log into my wife's side of the computer and start One Password it appears to already have my own master password set, I don't want to share this.
Does this mean that we can't both use One Password? on the same computer, I can't download another copy of the app of course for my wife as the App Store will show that I've already downloaded it.
How do I get complete and "separate" One Password for my wife? on our same shared computer with two separate accounts?
Thanks

Funny you should ask this. I'm not quite ready but I've been thinking the same thing and I figured that it should be no problem. Like you, our two uses of 1P will be completely separate.
In my case, we have separate Apple IDs. If you and your wife have the same ID, that's definitely your problem.

Hi @MrIllustrator,
Thanks for writing in. If both accounts are setup to use the same Apple ID, and you're syncing via iCloud, then it's possible that 1Password is detecting the data in iCloud and offering to initialize itself from it on the other account. But other than that scenario, I can't think of any reason why this would be happening.
Here is what I recommend... on your wife's account, do the steps for a complete data reset of 1Password. This will rule out a few things for us and get us to a known state. To do this simply follow the instructions on the Starting Over page.
Once that's done, start up 1Password on your wife's account. It should ask you if you've used 1Password before. Indicate that you're a new user, and it should set things up appropriately. From then on, both accounts should have completely independent data.
Let us know how that goes.
Rick
