iphone 6 macair not syncing
I have a new iphone 6, with IOS 8.1.2, and a MacAir running Mac OS X 10.9.5.
I have always synced with drop box, and now both devices show me that they are doing a sync, but new data on either device does not transfer to the other. My question is IOS 8 on iphone compatible with OS 10.9.5? I have no plans to get yosemite as of yet.

Hi @jason747,
This should work. But there's a bug in 1Password for iOS that's been causing these kinds of problems. The app loses your dropbox authentication token and then can't perform syncs. You can confirm whether this is the case or not by going into Settings > Sync, and looking at the Last Sync date. If it's a long time ago, then you're likely getting bit by this bug (it should be fixed up in the next release of 1Password for iOS).
To work around it, we have two choices:
Option 1:
- Disable Sync on iOS.
- Re-configure Sync on iOS. This will ask you to allow 1Password to have access to Dropbox again and we'll get a new token.
Option 2:
- Go to * Settings > Vaults on iOS.
- Tap Add Vault
- Tap on Sync with Dropbox
- You'll be asked to allow 1Password to have access to Dropbox. Allow it.
- Cancel out of vault adding
Both should work. I prefer Option 2 as it resumes sync as opposed to reconfiguring it entirely.
I hope this helps.

I have tried this several times now, in my phone it shows syncing, then shows done. When I check to see if it has actually done a proper sync, it hasn't. No new data transfers from either my iphone or my macair.

Hi @jason747,
Can you run a test to see if changes are getting synced up with the AgileKeychain file in Dropbox? To do this, we can use 1PasswordAnywhere which will allow you to look into the AgileKeychain file, and see if the changes you've done appear in there. If you could do a change on the Mac, then a few minutes later check in 1PasswordAnywhere, we'll see if the Mac is able to push those changes. Then do the same test on iOS. This will give us a better idea of what's going on.
To use 1PasswordAnywhere, follow the instructions on this page. Note that 1PasswordAnywhere is a little out-dated, and won't show 100% of the data, try to pick a field to edit that it displays correctly.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Rick
