Automatic entry into an app

Hi @edwalker, welcome to the forums!
1Password cannot directly integrate with other apps on your Mac the same way it can with web browsers. It's able to work with web browsers through the 1Password extension that can be installed in those browsers, but other apps don't work the same way. To enter your username and password into another app, you'd need to copy & paste them from the 1Password app, or from 1Password mini (i.e. the 1Password icon that appears in the menu bar at the top of your screen).
Sorry I don't have a better answer about that! If you have other questions, please let us know.

1Password can only fill and submit credentials in web pages. Unfortunately, it can't do so for applications on a Mac.
I realize you didn't ask, but I thought it might be worth adding that the new extension feature for the iOS version can fill credentials into some apps, but only if the developer of the application inserts special code to allow it to communicate directly with 1Password. I have no idea whether similar options are in the pipeline for the Mac application. Lot's of users would like for it to happen, though.

While I understand it's maybe not the answer you were hoping for @edwalker I'd say you've had a couple of comprehensive answers there. Let us know if you have any further queries
