1Password conflicts with Text Expander
I'm trying to track down why my Text Expander is not working. One suggestion from TE is that there might be a conflict between with Secure Keyboard on OSX Yosemite.
This is over my head, but are there known conflicts between the two?
Thanks.
Re: 1Password
On Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, 1Password will enable Secure Input mode while it's hidden. This will happen when choosing the "Hide 1Password" menu option or choosing "Hide Others" when 1Password is running. Minimizing 1Password or leaving it visible in the background will not cause this problem. The 1Password team is already working on a fix for this issue; read their analysis for more details.
Update: Should be fixed for 1Password 4.

I, too, have recently started using TextExpander, but I'm having no problems with it not working. Mind you, I'm not using it inside 1P. Is that what you're trying to do? It might be helpful to explain a little more fully how you're using TextExpander in association with 1P.

Hi @irad,
There is indeed an issue there, where 1Password is holding on to the Secure Input mode when it shouldn't. This is still a known issue on our end (OPM-2675). There seems to be a fix that went in for it that fixed part of the problem in 1Password 4, but there's another issue listed specifically with 1Password mini when you hide the mini's window when the vault is locked.
To see if you're hitting the same issue as what we have listed here, see if you still have issues when your vault is unlocked. I believe our issue only presents itself if your vault is locked and you hide the unlocking window from the mini.
Please let us know what you find out.
